Fly through the Sheffield Innovation Spine
Have you seen the Sheffield Innovation Spine fly-through? A first for Sheffield, this video captures 190-acres of Sheffield Innovation Spine - an energised urban innovation district in Sheffield city centre. Fly the length of the Spine in just four minutes, passing through five mixed-use neighbourhoods, Landmark Innovation Hubs, development sites, research assets, businesses and collaboration spaces. Take a look...
With footage captured by Steel City Drone Pilot, the fly-through features over 35 organisations, locations and workspaces, including Electric Works, Sheffield Hallam University, Pennine Five, Ella Armitage and Sheffield Technology Parks - with a look behind the scenes of our coworking lounge and one of our labs.
The video was created to align with the launch of the Sheffield Innovation Spine Prospectus, which outlines five live investment propostions (Cole Store, West Bar, Station Campus, Ella Armitage, and Pennine Five). This marks a significant shift in pace and opportunity, as the Spine overtly transitions from a 20-year ambition to an active urban innovation district in the centre of Sheffield - the footprint of which is brought to life in this footage.
The Spine is partner-backed and investment ready, as Sheffield Innovation Spine Director, Charlotte Thompson, explains: “Our rate of change is exciting, and it is clear from the demand we are building and the scale of the opportunity to design for density in the city centre, that now is the time to invest in Sheffield."
