We work with local, regional and national partners to make Sheffield the best place to start and grow a digital business.

Sheffield Technology Parks (STP) has a remit to support and grow digital tech companies and provides managed office space and co-working facilities in central Sheffield. STP is a registered non-profit organisation, enabling us to reinvest profits into entrepreneurship programmes and economic development activities.

Our Purpose

STP was set up in 1988 to support the city’s digital tech sector. We’ve been a specialist digital tech incubator for over 30 years, and we constantly seek to equip ourselves with the latest thinking on economic development, entrepreneurship, and business support. 

Our core offer is our managed office space, meeting rooms, co-working facilities, and space for meetups. What drives us is what sets us apart from the rest: we provide friendly and impartial advice to signpost entrepreneurs and our resident companies to the right support at the right time, whether that’s something we offer or support from a local, regional, or national provider. We are proud to have brought together a thriving community of start-up entrepreneurs, freelancers, and established businesses that truly puts the founder first.

As a non-profit organisation, STP operates where other public and private initiatives are absent - we build strong partnerships in order to signpost our entrepreneurs and resident companies to the best support.

Ecosystem

We believe that a thriving ecosystem comprised of public, private, and non-profit organisations is the strongest mix in which entrepreneurs will succeed. We have a longstanding history of supporting the digital tech ecosystem. We do this by putting on events, hosting meetups, and sponsoring activities such as Startup Weekend Sheffield. We are proud to be one of the support organisations that sponsored the founding of Sheffield Digital. 

We also play an active role in the policy space by contributing to conversations in the public sector, whether that’s with colleagues at Business Sheffield, or at a strategic level at the City Council or Sheffield City Region.
