Backing Sheffield’s inward investment offer through new partnership
Sheffield Technology Parks has joined partners in the city to create a new home for inward investment and a showcase of Sheffield’s strengths.
‘Landing Pad’ - located on the first floor of Athol in Sheffield's Heart of the City development - offers a dedicated space where stakeholders can meet, partnerships can form, and Sheffield's investment opportunities can be showcased to potential investors and businesses that want to move into the region.
Collaborating with the Sheffield Property Association (S-PA), Sheffield Chamber, Sheffield BID, and Sheffield City Council, we have helped to develop this space to fill a gap in our city’s investment offer.
Tom Wolfenden, Sheffield Technology Parks CEO, explains, “As well as supporting local businesses to start and scale, STP has helped to attract numerous businesses into our ecosystem from elsewhere. Our building is only one part of the wider picture - we have a lot to show off in the city, with the Heart of the City development and the Sheffield Innovation Spine strategy picking up pace. Having a collaborative, central meeting hub outside of STP will support us to highlight what else is on offer to businesses and investors looking to locate here.”
The Landing Pad is now available to host inward investment prospects to the city. If you feel you may have an opportunity that could benefit from the use of the Landing Pad, contact one of the Partner organisations.
